Damn, does it feel good to post this one.

Nicole was planning the release of this song, and we met at our office to chat about potentially shooting a music video, which, after hearing the song, turned into DEFINITELY shooting it, which turned into shooting and directing, which turned into editing and coloring the whole deal from soup to nuts. This music video was a pretty personal project, and in the treatment, we outlined distraught melancholia, which translated into the storyboard with close, moving shots exemplifying havoc and confusion that, throughout the song, turned into more stable, steady shots.

The last performance in the video happened almost entirely by accident while we were loading gear onto the beach and stumbled on the grassy dunes. Why not do another take? Gotta love a happy accident.

It’s a sad one. Hope you like it!

It all started when…

We broke Bergmonch onto our roof to play a house show to absolutely no one in the middle of a pandemic. The 65-minute set runs through sunset into dusk, closing out with the Portland city lights shining us into the evening. Full blog here.

The nastiest edit…

came out of this when, in each revision, Sandmane said “more”. We turned the dial all the way on this one. A lot of filthy trap; a lot of dirty edits.
